Some stress is good especially in situations of survival and danger. How we handle the bad stress, dangerous to our health, is critical. Anxiety, tension and negative stress in response to emotional and internal issues adversely affect our well-being. It is especially dangerous when there is no outlet for release. As technology rules our lives, cost of living skyrockets and global issues magnify we must find some simple ways to deal with the stresses of life.

 

NOURISH YOUR BODY

  • Eat healthy
  • Reduce caffeine & sugar
  • Drink more water
  • Get sufficient rest
  • Sit less – get up and move
  • Step outside
  • Breathe properly

 

SOOTHE YOUR SOUL

  • Set small goals
  • Learn to say NO
  • Be organized
  • Listen to music
  • Write in a journal
  • Socialize
  • Let the light in

 

IMPROVE YOUR HABITS

  • Turn off your phone
  • Reduce computer time
  • Don’t be ‘perfect’
  • Take breaks
  • Make yourself #1
  • Laugh for no reason

 

INDULGE YOURSELF

  • Slow down with meditation
  • Calm with salt therapy
  • Detoxify in a sauna
  • Unplug with flotation therapy
  • Boost your senses in an LED light bed
  • Luxuriate at a spa
